Welcome to Harlequins Theatre School

At Harlequins Theatre School, every child is welcomed, supported and encouraged to grow from their very first class.

We provide performing arts training in a warm, motivational and supportive environment, giving children the chance to build confidence, develop new skills and discover what they can bring to the stage. With clear pathways for progression and a wide range of classes across singing, dancing, drama, acro, musical theatre and performance, every child is encouraged to grow at their own pace. Within their first 6 months with us, every child will be invited to a performance opportunity when they are ready — from community events to the magic of a professional theatre.

From first class to first performance opportunity within 6 months.

Harlequins Theatre School

Welcome to Harlequins Theatre School. Established in 2009.

Hi, we’re Debbie and Zoe, the co-principals of Harlequins Theatre School, and we’re so excited to meet you!

Actually, we met way back at dance college where we trained together. We weren’t just classmates, we became the best of friends – practically sisters! That same sense of family is what we bring to Harlequins.

Whether your child wants to join Harlequins for a bit of fun or dreams of being a star on stage, we’ve got something for everyone. Our amazing teachers (we handpicked them ourselves!) will help them grow their talent, make new friends, and have a blast along the way. (Seriously, we put the emphasis on FUN!)

We have classes for children from 3 to 16 years old, with over 300 students already shining bright! We even encourage them to take exams with the IDTA and LAMDA. And guess what? Our students have a 100% pass rate – we’re that good!

The best part? EVERYONE gets a chance to perform! We have regular shows, from termly productions at our school to local events and even professional theatres. Imagine the spotlight and the applause!

So, if you’re looking for a place where your child can learn, laugh, and shine, look no further than Harlequins! We have a wide variety of classes, so there’s sure to be something that’s a perfect fit.

Come on down and join the Harlequins family! We can’t wait to meet you!

Students in the HEDC programme will be what others aspire to be and stick to our motto: Trained Like Professionals Treated Like Family. The company train on a Saturday from 10-12:30pm then join the rest of the school for acro fusion and dance tech. Their day consists of, body conditioning & stretching, advanced jazz, acting through song, heels class, acro fusion and dance technique. HEDC take part in competition routines that only the company enter as well as other featured performances.

Show Team

Introducing our junior & senior show teams for ages 6-18 years old. During the class the children work on technique, flexibility, turns, posture, tricks, formations, performance and of course choreography. We take the show team to events such as performances at West End theatres and competitions. Students must also attend a core Harlequins class such as just dance, Acro fusion or senior theatre arts as well as Dance Technique which is every Saturday. The aim of these classes is to give those in it many more performing opportunities as well as improving their natural talent. The show team have performed at various events in the past such as The Shaftesbury Theatre, The Stag Theatre, a 20 minute set at Disney Land Paris as well as filming for Britain’s Got Talent.
